On November 5th, Chief Justice Roggensack delivered the first ever virtual State of the Judiciary at the Annual Meeting of the Wisconsin Judicial Conference. The theme of her speech was the “Courage of Wisconsin Courts” and she defined courage as “grace under fire.” She then elaborated about how Wisconsin Courts had courage through the COVID-19 pandemic, making the necessary adjustments as quickly as possible. She highlighted the advancements that the courts had made in EFiling, the Commercial Docket Pilot Program, The Child Welfare Improvement Project, and Treatment Courts. She closed by commending all those in the court system who have helped make the entire operation run as smoothly as possible through the pandemic.
